OVER 18? Yes! I'm 21.
CURRENT CHARACTERS: Nope.

CHARACTER
NAME: Nicolai Technus
CANON: Danny Phantom
CANON POINT: Post-Canon
BACKGROUND: Wiki link.
SUITABILITY:For a while, I've wanted to write Technus in a Mystery Dungeon type setting. This is a good chance for me to do so.

In canon, Technus is a villain, but he isn't evil, exactly, he's just villainous because it's fun. Working on teams and with a guild will be difficult for him at first, but in order to survive, he'll have to- Ghost-type Pokemon are a lot more fragile than ghosts in his universe.

My main goal with Technus in this setting will be to have him reintegrate with society and get used to not having his way all the time. I'm interested in building relationships with other characters, and seeing how Technus adjusts to this world. He'll try to make the best of the situation, although not without a lot of kvetching along the way.

Technus is incredibly talented with technology. In a modern setting, he works with the technology he already has, but in a world with a low level of technology, he'd be a mad inventor. Machinery is his fixation, and he's no stranger to improvising with whatever he has on hand. If a robotic Pokemon is injured, he can fix them up in a snap (as long as they ignore his awful bedside manner); and the walls of his housing will end up covered in blueprints for machinery he plans on creating. Note that I do not intend on having him upgrade the standard technology level of Bottlecap Bay- although that is his in-character desire, the inventions he creates are likely to be outpaced by Pokemon-based things, and would be inconvenient to make on a large scale.

Technus is curious and impulsive, but also intelligent. He always strives to be the best at whatever he does. I think he'd make a great resident of Bottlecap Bay due to this. Whatever problem needs figuring out, he'll try to get to the bottom of it!

QUESTIONNAIRE:

Your character is on an exploration quest when they find an injured Pokemon in need of help. This Pokemon appears to be in distress and is quite dangerous, posing a risk to your character even if they mean well, and putting your quest mission at risk. What do they do? What are some possibilities of how they work with teammates to address this, or do they go at it alone?

For most Pokemon: Technus would suggest just going on with their quest and focusing on the goal, but could be persuaded otherwise by his teammates. If the other Pokemon attacked, Technus would throw himself on the front line to attack back, used to having a body that's far more durable.

For robotic Pokemon (Porygon line, Varoom line, Klink line, Beldum line, etc): Technus is going to help this Pokemon whether they like it or not. He is the self-proclaimed master of technology, after all! And other Pokemon are some of the most advanced technology around! So he'd do his best to fix them up, and suggest ways they could upgrade themselves, and he wouldn't be satisfied until he was done.

Your character's worst enemy has recently appeared in game, and has joined the guild your character is part of. They both want to tackle the same quest, and your character's enemy suggests that they work together as a team to accomplish this goal. How does your character respond to this?

Technus is a villain who has sworn vengeance on his worst enemy, the hero Danny Phantom. But despite Technus swearing vengeance on Danny, Technus would team up with him anyways. It would be foolish to refuse assistance from such a strong foe. He may hold a grudge, but he recognizes that Danny's power on his side is an incredibly valuable asset.
Technus would insist on being the leader of the group, because he's an adult and Danny is a teenager, so CLEARLY Technus is more responsible (he isn't).

The leader of your character's guild has just approached your character with an offer: they will provide your character with extra supplies, reputation points, and help them with any of their current struggles. In exchange, they ask for your character to do a favor for them that may harm the other guilds, and will not specify what the favor is in advance. It sounds shady, but it's the deal of a lifetime in your character's path to get back home, and refusing it may cause strife for your character within their current guild. What do they think of this offer? What do they ultimately decide to do?

Technus can be surprisingly perceptive, and would be aware that his guild leader is trying to manipulate him. He would have absolutely no problem with harming people he isn't allied with, but there are still problems with the offer, even disregarding the harm done to others. Potentially, he would think, they're lying, or setting him up to take the fall for something. So it really depends on what the supplies and help being offered are. Are they useful enough to risk things?
If he does take the offer, however, he would make sure he was given the supplies before he did the favor. The reputation points and other help can come after the favor, but he would need proof that he'd actually get something out of it first.

Due to shortages on supplies, the city is facing issues deciding where to cut corners during this rough time. Somehow, the responsibility has fallen on your character's shoulders, and they have to make a decision. If they send out an extra team of Pokemon, they will be able to gather more food, and through that, save the lives of dozens of starving Pokemon that were in dire need of nutrition. However, the only Pokemon available to scout for food are those working at the pokeclinic, and sending them out would mean certain death for at least two ill patients. What does your character decide to do? How do they feel about this choice, and how would they deal with the pushback that comes from either side?

First things first, Technus would desperately try to get rid of this responsibility. He's already dead, how is he supposed to weigh in on this?! His perspective on death is very different from how most people think of it, and he's aware of that fact.
But if someone is relying on Technus of all people in a moral situation, things must already be pretty bad- like, "some people are already dying from starvation" bad. So Technus would eventually send out the team to get food. The community is more important to him than individual people he may or may not know. Then he would defend his decision as if he hadn't freaked out about it originally, and would insist it was the right choice despite being not really sure.

POKEMON: Rotom! Technus in canon is a mischievous ghost with electric powers who possesses machines, so... Rotom is perfect for him. It's the closest 1:1 character-to-Pokemon thing I have ever seen.
Rotom's Pokedex entry in Platinum states Its electric-like body can enter some kinds of machines and take control in order to make mischief. This is pretty much what Technus does in the series. Although his stated goal is taking over the world, he's also done things like draw mustaches and glasses on the photos people have saved to their computers, project his face onto a Times Square billboard with a giant banner reading "TECHNUS RULES" (that's where my username comes from), and jumpscare a man by popping out of a stoplight.
GUILD OPT-OUT: No Cheri Berries. Technus is pretty much the opposite of the Cheri Berry values.

Personally, I think he'd be at his best with the Lum Berries- if Polteageist can look past Technus's impulsiveness, this would be where he can excel and thrive. He's incredibly intelligent, and although his knowledge is mostly centered around technology that doesn't exist in this world, he's a quick learner in general and can memorize a lot of knowledge (but never anyone's names). He would probably be happiest here, and would respect Polteageist as a fellow ghost more than he respects non-ghosts.

Technus could be a member of the Oran Berries, too- he's certainly enough of a chaotic misfit for that- but his volume control issues would be a bad fit for living in a cave, and he'd probably annoy anyone he had to room with.
